In the Beginning

"Do you like this in your face?" began performing with a large rotating cast at the New York Comedy Club.  In search for a more intimate setting and in hope of creating more solid work, they decided to branch off and form a smaller group.  What they stumbled upon was a group of six hilarious people that had the same vision for comedy.  After many poop jokes and fist fighting over jelly donuts, they decided on a format that was half sketch comedy and half short form improv.   This allows the audience to always be surprised and wonder what will they say or do next.

The name came about after watching a homeless man chase people with a dead pigeon and screaming at them "Do you like this in your face?" Upon going through this experience as a group they knew there was no other name that could be better suited for them.  From that point on it was their mission to find out what people really like in their faces!

The Players:

Sam Albertsen

Sam Albertsen is an actor and one of the main writers of the group.  His balance of screaming at old people and robbing young children really adds to the group's dynamic.  His forceable laughter can make any self respecting person beg the question, "Does he have a mental handicap?"  On a more serious note he is a master of blending comedic dialogue into his scenes and is a driving force in the writing realm.
Sam's favorite past-time is to write songs for the resident dog wickett and discuss the use of avocados and what they represent.

Vanessa Altshuler

Vanessa is one of the most recent additions to our group.  She is a prolific writer and actress who loves to focus on the things that will make you cry while laughing on the inside.  Her approach to kicking people in the face is one of the most brilliant that anyone in the group has experienced.  While studying with the eskimo comedy team in Alaska she found out what can really make a person freeze up with laughter (budump schhh).  She brings a great passion for dark comedy and making people laugh at things we only laugh about when we are alone. The most important aspect about Vanessa is that she claims to be right 99.9% of the time, and I dare you to challenge her.

Meg Bailey

Meg is the sweetest and funniest person you will ever meet until you cross her or owe her money.  She then turns into a raging devil spawn born out of the depths of hell and will eat all of your newborn children until her hunger is vanquished!  Everyone in the group makes sure to walk on egg shells in order not to piss her off.  Sam called her Megan and she screamed "MY NAME IS MEG!" while ripping of his pinky toe and feeding it to her dog Wickett. Meg's constant push to hone these two characters brings explosive laughter to an otherwise mundane scene.  She is very dedicated to the success of the group so much that she decided to marry one of the founders.

Chadwick Elliott

Chadwick is co-founder, writer, and actor with the comedy group.  He is always searching for his six pack abs by beach time with many laughs and negativity from others in the group.  One day he will achieve his goal and spit in the eye of his nay sayers.  He also has a great affinity for antique Geiger counters and the affect of radiation on microwavable cheeseburgers.  In his spare time he likes long walks on a short beach and combing the sand remnants of old sandcastle civilizations.  He is a great writer and pusher for the group to keep going and realize the potential that they have.  Yes he is tall and he did play basketball before so I hope that satisfies all the questions.
